Terms of Service
Last updated: May 26, 2026
1. Agreement
By accessing or using MixID ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. MixID is operated by the MixID team ("we", "us", "our").
2. What MixID Does
MixID is a tool that helps DJs, producers, and music enthusiasts identify tracks within DJ mixes by analyzing audio you upload or link. We use third-party music recognition services to match audio fingerprints.
3. Your Responsibilities
You agree that you will only upload or submit audio that:
- You own, have permission to use, or are legally allowed to analyze
- Does not violate any third-party copyright, trademark, or other rights
- Does not contain malicious code or illegal content
You are solely responsible for ensuring your use of the Service complies with applicable laws and the terms of any platform from which content originates (e.g. YouTube, SoundCloud).
4. Accounts
You must provide accurate information when registering. You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately of unauthorized use.
5. Paid Plans & Refunds
Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annual) via our payment processor. You may cancel at any time; cancellation stops future billing but does not refund the current period. Refund requests within 7 days of initial purchase may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
6. Acceptable Use
You may not: (a) reverse engineer, scrape, or abuse the Service; (b) use the Service to infringe on copyright; (c) resell or redistribute identification results in bulk without permission; (d) attempt to disrupt or overload our infrastructure.
7. Intellectual Property
The MixID name, logo, software, and all content we create are owned by us. Track metadata returned by the Service is sourced from third-party music databases and remains the property of their respective owners.
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Identification accuracy depends on third-party databases and audio quality — we do not guarantee any specific result. We are not affiliated with YouTube, SoundCloud, ACRCloud, or any record label.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MixID and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
