What MixID does
MixID listens to a DJ mix, mixtape, or radio show and returns an ordered tracklist. It tells you what's playing, when it starts, and where to listen to the full track on Spotify, Apple Music, or YouTube.
Under the hood we use acoustic fingerprinting — the same technology behind apps like Shazam — to match short audio windows against a catalog of tens of millions of commercially released tracks.
How it works
- You upload an audio file (or paste a link — coming soon).
- Your browser slices the mix into short fingerprint windows.
- Each window is sent to our identification engine.
- Consecutive matches are merged into one track with a start time.
- You get a clean tracklist with links to listen legally.
What MixID does not do
- We do not download or rip full tracks from any source.
- We do not bypass DRM on Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal, or any other platform.
- We do not re-host or re-stream identified music.
Our goal is to help you discover what's in a mix and listen through the artist's official channels — supporting the people who made the music.
