Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 26, 2026

1. Who We Are

MixID ("we", "us") provides a DJ mix track identification service. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your rights regarding your data.

2. What We Collect

  • Account data: email address, hashed password (or OAuth identifier if you sign in with Google).
  • Job data: URLs you submit, audio files you upload, and the resulting tracklist metadata.
  • Usage data: basic analytics (pages visited, errors, timestamps) to improve the Service.
  • Payment data: handled entirely by our payment processor (Stripe). We never see or store your card details.

3. How We Use It

  • To run the identification pipeline and show you results
  • To maintain your account history and let you re-access past jobs
  • To process payments and prevent fraud
  • To debug, improve, and secure the Service
  • To send essential account and service emails (we do not send marketing without consent)

4. Third-Party Services

We share the minimum data required with these processors:

  • Supabase — database, authentication, file storage
  • ACRCloud — audio fingerprinting (we send short audio segments for matching)
  • Stripe — payment processing
  • Cloudflare / Render — hosting and processing infrastructure

We do not sell your personal data. Ever.

5. Audio Files

Audio you upload or link is processed for identification and stored against your account so you can revisit results. You can delete any job (and its associated audio) from your history at any time.

6. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

7. Data Retention

We retain account and job data for as long as your account is active. Delete your account at any time to remove your data, except where we are legally required to retain records (e.g. payment receipts for tax purposes).

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (GDPR, CCPA, etc.), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your data, and to object to certain processing. Email us to exercise any of these rights.

9. Security

We use industry-standard encryption in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. No system is 100% secure, but we work hard to protect your data and will notify you of any breach affecting your account.

10. Children

MixID is not directed at children under 13 (or 16 in the EU). We do not knowingly collect data from children.

11. Changes

We will post updates here and, for material changes, notify you by email or in-app notice.
